In line with the "Bologna Process" of the EU" Öffnet einen externen Link in einem neuen Fenster we have developed two Bachelor and four Master programs relating to International Economics, as well as International Business Administration:

  • B.Sc. in International Economics (Internationale VWL) (7 semesters)
  • B.Sc. in International Business Administration (Internationale BWL) (7 semesters)
  • M.Sc. in International Economics and Finance (3 semesters)
  • M.Sc. in International Economics and American/ East Asian/ European/ Middle Eastern Studies (3 semesters)
  • M.Sc. in European Management (4 semesters)
  • M.Sc. in European Economics (4 semesters)

Programs begin in the winter term only.

The B.Sc. in International Business Administration is a full-fledged Business Administration program, with an additional treatment in one or two languages. The languages taught include Chinese, English, French, Japanese, Italian, Korean, Russian and Spanish. Moreover, in their third year students earn credits at a partner university abroad. Partner universities include universities in Europe, the USA, Canada, Latin America, Africa, China, Japan as well as universities in Australia and New Zealand.

As for the B.Sc. in International Economics, students will choose a world region in which to specialize. They may choose America, Europe, Eastern Asia, or the Middle East. Specialization means studying one or two language(s) of the respective region, as well as learning about the culture through pertinent courses in History, Geography or Politics. Languages include Arabian, Brazilian, Chinese, Danish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Serbo-Croatian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish. Ideally, students will complete their world-region-focus through a student exchange program taking them into a partner university in their region. The B.Sc. in International Economics qualifies students for the corresponding Master program in International Economics and American/ European/ East Asian/ Middle Eastern Studies.

The M.Sc. in International Economics and Finance can be studied entirely in English. The same applies for the Economics part of the M.Sc. in International Economics and American/East Asian/European/Middle Eastern Studies.  For the language and world-region part of this program knowledge of German is essential.

Based on the above programs, we cooperate with a number of universities from different countries. We offer two double-degree-programs in cooperation with the University of Pavia, Italy, and with the EM Strasbourg in France. In addition we participate in the Erasmus-Program and have established student exchange relationships with universities in Brazil. Finally, there are ample opportunities to pursue student exchange relying on our Akademisches Auslandsamt, where different programs are coordinated for the University of Tübingen as a whole, including partner universities in the USA, Canada, Latin America, Africa, China, Japan, as well as universities in Australia and New Zealand.

The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration always looks forward to welcoming students from abroad. 14% of all students are from foreign countries!
